FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS SA RAMADAN

IPINATUPAD ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang flexible working hours para sa mga Muslim personnel hanggang Mayo 3 o sa panahon ng Ramadan.

Sa memorandum na ipinalabas ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones, nakasaad na ang mga Muslim staff na nagpa-fasting, bahagi ng paggunita sa kanilang holy month of Ramadan ay maaaring magtrabaho ng walong oras nang walang ‘noon break.’

“The Department of Education respects the rights of all Filipino Muslims to observe fasting during the month of Ramadan from April 3 to May 3, 2022,” ayon sa DepEd.

“In view thereof and as has been a policy of the Department, Muslim personnel nationwide who are fasting while working during the month of Ramadan are allowed to observe flexible working hours, which start from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and ends from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., without noon break, to complete eight hours of work,” dagdag nito.

Bukod sa DepEd, nagpatupad din ang Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ng modified work schedule para sa Muslim officials at employees mula 7:30 ng umaga hanggang 3:30 ng hapon sa panahon ng Ramadan. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
